It is reported that an unpublicized directive released on February 12th morning, Baosteel the top China steelmaker unveiled its price change details for productions of March 2010 with prices of HRC and CRC both elevated by CNY 300 per tonne.
All price changes, made on top of February catalogue are exclusive of 17% VAT except stated otherwise and will come into force as of the date of issuance.

HRC up by CNY 300 per tonne
2. HR PO
HR PO up by CNY 200 per tonne
3. CRC
CRC price up by CNY 300 per tonne
4. HDG
HDG price up by CNY 200 per tonne
5. EG
EG price up by CNY 300 per tonne
6. Galvalume
Galvalume price up by CNY 200 per tonne
7. Color-Coated Steel,
March prices stay in line with February catalogue for most varieties, only home-appliance grade products are subject to a rise of CNY 250 per tonne.
8. Silicon Steel:
I. GO silicon steel prices stay in line with February level
II. NGO silicon steel prices:
a. B50A250、B50A270、B50A290, prices stay unchanged
b. B50A310 up by CNY 300 per tonne
c. Other varieties up by CNY 450 per tonne
9. Electro-Tin Plate:
Prices for Q2 2010 productions are to be raised by CNY 450 per tonne from Q1 level
Those with thickness of less than 0.28mm are subject to further rise of CNY 350 per tonne on top of the general increase of CNY 450 per tonne stated above.
