According to statistics, in April this
year Korea imported 485,000 tons of scrap steel, down by 11.3% year on year,
for 7 consecutive months below 500,000 tons, down by 0.6% month on month, fell
for the first time in 2 months.
Among them, Korea imported 285,000 tons of scrap from Japan, accounting for
58.9% of total imports, an increase of 2.5% year on year; exported 87,000 tons
United States, down by 29.1%; exported 84,000 tons from Russia, down by 2.7%
year on year.
