The spot price of iron ore fines 62% to China is being offering at US$58.50/ton,
dropping by US$0.99/ton or 1.66% from the previous price. The average price of
iron ore was US$59.28/ton in the month.
Meanwhile, the China Iron Ore Price Index (CIOPI) decreased by 2.86 points or
1.31% week on week to 216.03 points as of May 19th, according to the latest
statistics by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
