Turkish rebar price has increased in line with soaring square billet price due to improving demand of Turkish and Middle East’s end users.
The current square billet price has risen by US$60/ton to US$400/ton and the recent rebar offer is up to FOB US$440~450/ton; however, the flat market remains slack and the current price is about US$340/ton~$360/ton for heavy plate.
Moreover, Turkish scrap import price has increase as well due to rebound of demand, the settle rate of Turkish and Black Sea’s A3 scrap is CFR US$225~230/ton. Source: Yieh.com
