It is reported that domestic scrap market will maintain softens due to the weakening steel market and hot weather in July and August. Presently, major steel mills in East China prefer to offer CNY 3770 per tonne to CNY 3870 per tonne for quality charging.
Quotations heard in the market for imported scrap shipping to China in containers are as below
1. American HMS1&2, USD 465 per tonne to USD 470 per tonne CFR
2. European broken scrap USD 475 per tonne to USD 480 per tonne CFR

1. American HMS1&2 USD 485 per tonne to USD 495 per tonne CFR
2. European broken scrap USD 500 per tonne to USD 505 per tonne CFR
