European HR mills are delaying their price announcement for April, hoping the spot market could recover next month so that they can set a higher price.
Current HR coil price is prevailing at about US$479-567/ton. Although demand remains weak, the market may warm up in the second quarter as a result of the production cuts since the end of last year.
Manufacturers suggest that now that the stock level of flat products is very low, the end users will soon return to the market, which will increase demand and the price will rise. They say they still hold a positive attitude. Source: Yieh.com
