Chinese price of steel billet have increased after Chinese New Year, which is mainly affected by the raise in price of steel finished products. It is estimated that the price will go up again in a short term.
Now the price of steel billet 20MnSi is prevailing at RMB3,450/ton in Tangshan, and RMB3,400/ton in Shanxi, RMB3,500/ton in Shanghai.
In the international market, the billet prices from Russia and Ukraine are going down to cfr Middle East US$370~380/ton. Source: Yieh.com
