According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in the H1 of this year Turkey steel scrap imports rose 24.92% YoY reaching 8.79 million tonnes. The value of these imports amounted to USD 3.27 billion increasing by 85.42%YoY.
The data showed that the average import price of Turkey steel scrap stood at USD 371.63 per tonne rising by 48.43% or USD 121.26 per tonne as compared to January to June 2009.
