Driven by recovering domestic market, China’s medium heavy plate prices continue to rise since this month.
As traders focus on internal market, currently export price is not competitive in international market even though there are more inquiries coming from Middle East, South America and South-East Asia mainly.
It can be seen that American and Europe markets is still stagnant for imported steels. For S235JR12-50MM plates, normal price level reaches US$650/ton while higher level would be US$680-720/ton.
