It is reported that, as scrap prices rose recently, rebar prices in EU market started moving up. Italian rebar prices were between USD 630 and USD 644 per ton during the past few weeks and prices fell to USD 602 to USD 16 per tonne but it is predicted to rebound in January 2009.

On the other hand, the current rebar prices in Spain were USD 560 to USD 580 per tonne FOB and domestic rebar prices reached USD 602 to USD 616 per tonne.
