KARBALA: Ten projects for the municipalities sector in several cities in Karbala were finalized at a total cost of 14.579 billion Iraqi dinars, revealed the provincial council''s deputy chairman on Saturday.

"A number of local firms carried out 10 projects as part of the investment plan for the municipalities ministry at a cost of 14.579 billion dinars," Nassif Jassem al-Khatabi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"The projects, which included road pavement, construction of public parks and expansion of sidewalks, took between four and 14 months to finalize," he added
