The billet offers from Turkey, Ukraine and Russia have been following the uptrend of scrap prices.
Turkey’s FOB offer grew by US$20～30/ton to US$420～430/ton now, almost same as domestic level. While export price from Ukraine increased to US$380～385/ton FOB and that of Russia also to US$390～400/ton at present.
Scrap price is predicted getting stronger because winter season will, to some extent, hamper the supply of scrap. Consequently, billet price probably continues to go up further.
