The price of first level ship plate for 2009 January shipments is settled at C&F US$840/ton, which is US$60/ton lower than December between some Chinese main steel mills and Korean shipbuilding enterprises.

Besides, the second level’s price will be C&F US$750/ton. Meanwhile, Japanese steel mills also have finished price negotiation with Korean shipbuilding enterprises for the first quarter ship plate shipments of 2009.
