It is reported that Ukrainian Mills woke up in bullish mood on Monday morning and hiked their offers further for Europe.
1. Billets - USD 580 per tonne FOB ST Black Sea
2. Pig iron - USD 535 per tonne CFR FO Italian port
3. HRC - USD 635 per tonne FOB ST Black Sea
4. HRP - USD 700 per tonne base CFR FO Italian port
5. Slab - USD 565 per tonne FOB Black Sea
A major Ukrainian steel mill had closed on Friday with a price indication of USD 550 for slabs but yesterday there was an increase twice, first to USD 560 and then a jump to USD 565 FOB Mariupol. This is because of a fight for supremacy between two giants, both of whom want slabs for Italy.
On the other hand, for the third time in March, Riva has suspended offers and quotations, looking for assessing the level of the next price increase.
