Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization announced that steel exports in the 11 month period ending February 19 topped 1.6 million tonnes worth USD 476 million.

IMIDRO stated that steel exports volume and value had increased 103 and 1% respectively compared to the same period the year before.

IMIDRO noted that steel plants affiliated to the organization produced 9.7 million tonnes of raw steel which is 3 percent more than last year, and steel products manufactured during this time reached 9.2 million tonnes.
