Taiwan’s billet prices rebound

With the rebar and scrap prices set to increase further, Taiwan’s billet prices have begun to rise.

At present, the billet prices have shot up to NT$13,800/ton, while the export price is US$420/ton, with some mills even selling at US$450/ton.

Although the prices are climbing rapidly, the mills still appear hesitant in accepting new orders. Steelworks are claiming that not only are scrap prices very high but also that it is difficult to buy this product.Source:Yieh.com
