According to the newly published statistics from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization, Iranian steel producer Azerbaijan Steel produced 400,000 tonne of rebar in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year down about 24% compared with 495,000 tonne produced in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Azerbaijan Steel, which based in the northwestern Iranian city of Miyaneh, has a designed rolling capacity of 500,000 tonnes per year. The producer is currently building an EAF based steelmaking plant and an iron making plant each with an annual capacity of 800,000 tonnes.
