It is reported that American container scrap price starts to hike. The current 80:20 container scrap offer of main traders is around USD 365 per tonne but it's nevertheless higher than Taiwanese steel mills' ideal prices.
It is said that few of Taiwanese domestic steel mills would like to purchase more but supply has not been able to keep up
Besides, according to the market news, Southern American scrap price is prevailing at USD 340 per tonne which is lower than Northern American scrap due to quality problem.
