It is reported that the H2 scrap average price in Japanese Osaka has increased to JPY 29,500 to JPY 30,000 per tonne.

The main reason is that local three steel mills raised their scrap purchase prices by JPY 1,000 per tonne on January 30th 2009 including Kishiwada, Godo and Shinkansai.

The lowest price of H2 scrap in Osaka was around JPY 29,000 per tonne and the highest price was JPY 31,000 per tonne.
