According to Japan Iron and Steel Federation’s report, sales volumes of general steel product of Japan in October decreased to 5,978,000 tons by 15 percent compared to September.
Except steel products for shipbuilding, the sales volumes of most of the steel products had declined sharply in October. The sales volumes of steel products for construction and automotive dropped by about 16 and 9 percent respectively.
