Market sources in South India are optimistic that flat products market scenario is likely to improve in the first week of February.

As per reports, flat product market in South is dormant in retail although normal consumption is seen in ongoing project.

The main reason is lack of demand an people are sitting over low priced material bought in December before January hike and hence they are not buying.

However with the culmination of Pongal some activity is expected next week and by early February and picture will become clear.
