A well informed source has announced to Ukrainian News that Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises stopped importation of coke. He said that "In November our enterprises did not import coke."

In his words, this is because of the rapid reduction of steelmakers' production in October-November and consequently, a drop in the demand for coke.

Before, the biggest ore-mining and metallurgical mill ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Illich Metallurgical Mill and Dzerzhynskyi Dnirpovskyi Metallurgical Mill imported coke.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in October, coke imports fell by 30.6% or 40,770 tonnes compared to September to 92,650 tonnes for USD 48.93 million.
