It is reported that ArcelorMittal and ThyssenKrupp have raised heavy plate prices for February shipments by EUR 40 per tonne to EUR 430 per tonne from EUR 390 per tonne in the previous month.

Soaring costs for raw materials were the main reason for the price being pushed higher.

The buying sentiments in the market remain sluggish; therefore, the price rise will not be so easy to accept, according to market participants.
