Chinese steel price index enjoyed a pick-up of 0.7 percent on average last week, reaching 136.9 point, according to the Beijing Times.

Traders and mills are holding an optimistic attitude towards the price of steel which used in the construction industry and HRC.

Among the construction steel, heavy plate, HRC and CRC, section, heavy plate price has increased most.

Recently, Chinese leading mills lifted their price one after another, contributing to stabilize the market confidence and market price.
