Bloomberg reported that Al Ghurair Iron & Steel plans to double capacity at its Abu Dhabi steel plant to 400,000 tonnes per year by 2011.

Mr Abu Backer Husain COO of Al Ghurair said that Gulf Arab states should impose duties on imports of galvanized steel used in construction said at a conference today in Dubai.
