American scrap suppliers have forced to cut US$20/ton for scrap price recently because the sales of both export and domestic markets are sluggish.

They currently quotes about US$310/ton for 80:20 container scrap to Taiwan; however, it’s nevertheless higher than Taiwanese steel mills’ ideal price. It’s said that it’s difficult for America to meet Taiwanese mills’ target price for the time being.
