Turkish scrap price continues to slide

Due to the slack demand for the Turkish finished products, most Turkish mills have stopped purchasing the scrap.
Although the scrap price has fallen on weak demand, the current price is still not attracting the mills to resume their purchasing.
The latest transaction price was quoted at US$240/ton and some sources said that the current offer was on the same level.

It is said that Turkish mills are trying estimating the scrap price according to the rebar price and their ideal price is quoted at US$220/ton.
