During the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2008 - March 20, 2009), Iran imported 893,000 tons of rebar totally, which dropped by 45 percent compared to the same time of last year.
This shows the depression of the market and most dealers thought the price will get even lower, that is why the rebar can’t be sold well.
Currently, Iran domestic price of rebar is US$42-US$535/ton, which is US$10/ton cheaper than last week. Source: Yieh.com
