As quoted by Shatanews, on Monday January 2nd, the most professional billet production line has been inaugurated formally called Hormozgan Steel Melting and Refining Complex in Iran.
The complex is using the most new technologies for producing billet, controlling pollution and have very special software systems.
A German company has provided needed technology for Hormozgan Steel and an Iranian company has done the project.
The mill has production capacity of 1.5 million tones of billet per year at the moment but can produce up to 3 million tones when be completed.
Hormozgan Steel has 2 HBI production line with capacity of 800,000/year and will use their HBI for steel production of this mill.
