According to a report issued by the ministry of trade and industry, Egypt has cancel the policies of 10 percent additional tax on flat products and returned to 5 percent this week.
It is estimated that the policy will not likely to affect the industry significantly, because it was only applied in February.
Besides, the ministry has said it will not apply import tax on rebar. Egypt’s steel mills called on the government to impose the steel import tax on rebar in order to protect their domestic steel market. Source: Yieh.com
