India keeps eyes open for dumping of Chinese steel

It is reported that India"s government is alert to the danger of Chinese steel being dumped at various ports in India.

According to Union steel secretary Pramod Kumar Rastogi, it is likely to dump its products in India since the prices in China are very low. Although it has not happened so far, it is possible that the dumping will happen soon because there is a huge price difference between domestic and imported steel.

Moreover, there is no evidence of an increase in steel imports, though things are likely to show up next month, when the ordered shipments are delivered as for now.
